Former AD Perry Stubberfield inducted into Hall of Fame
McMinnville High School’s athletic director, Ryan McIrvin, was honored as the Oregon 6A Athletic Director of the Year at the annual conference of athletics directors across the state. The award is voted on by other athletic directors across the state. McIrvin currently serves as the head of the OSAA state football scheduling committee.
McIrvin has been Mac High’s AD since 2015 and with the district since 2000.
Also during the Oregon Athletic Directors Conference, long-time AD Perry Stubberfield was posthumously inducted into the OADA Hall of Fame. Stubberfield, who passed away in 2016, was Mac High’s AD from 1989 through 1994. He also coached Grizzly football at the high school as served as a pitching coach for Linfield. Mac High’s batting cages, which opened in 2019, are named in his honor.
