Congratulations to MHS student Brian Barnes, the new Oregon wrestling
champion, for winning the 190-weight pound class and to the entire MHS
Wrestling team for their fourth-place finish as a team at the state
wrestling tournament this past weekend.

Thanks to the relentless efforts of Aspen Nelson (2nd place, 113
lbs), Alvaro Flores (3rd place, 106 lbs),  Manny Humlie, Michael Abeyta
(6th place, 138 lbs), Bobby Crowston (4th place, 145 lbs), Dalton
Donaldson, Alex Keiss (5th place, 160 lbs) , Josh Blanchard and Brian
Barnes (1st place, 190 lbs). They scored 110 points, claimed six medals
and brought home the first ever state wrestling trophy in MHS history.

Congratulations to wrestling coaches Shawn Keinonen, Jordan Barich
and Garth Lund for being named 6A Coaches of the Year.  Way to go MHS
