District Educational Philosophy
The Board of Directors recognizes that the work of the teacher and the learning by the students are the inseparable and paramount activities of the public schools. The Board believes that all students can learn given sufficient time and adequate opportunities. Successful student learning is predicated on setting high standards for both teaching and learning. To this end, the Board directs the Superintendent to promote an educational philosophy centered on a “best practices” approach to effective instruction that includes both school-wide efforts and classroom instructional attributes.
