MHS Construction Updates

Construction is well underway at McMinnville High School. Designed by Dull Olson Weekes Architects, Inc. of Portland, the high school will receive 26 new classrooms, a new student commons area, a new kitchen, a new front entrance and more parking. LCG Pence Construction, LLC of Salem is the construction manager and general contractor for the project, one of five funded by a $62 million capital construction bond approved by voters in November 2006.

To make room for these additions, high school tennis will move to Cowls Street and varsity baseball will move to Patton Middle School. To prepare for these changes, the district built four new tennis courts at Cowls Street, installed new synthetic turf in the high school stadium and is refurbishing four existing courts at Patton and installing new synthetic turf on Patton's baseball infield.
