After School Programs
Grades 1-5:
The Kids on the Block After-School Enrichment Program and Power Hour, is a collaborative program operated through a partnership between the McMinnville School District, City of McMinnville Parks & Recreation Department, and Kids on the Block Inc.
Kids on the Block provides a safe, educationally-rich environment for children to learn and play after school and includes a “Power Hour” of homework help followed by enriching activities including dance, music and art. Regular bookmobile visits give students access to the McMinnville Public Library and encourage students to become lifelong readers. Selected for its dedicated mission, diverse participants and partnerships, sustainable funding, meaningful programs and attainable goals, Kids on the Block is a collaborative project between the McMinnville School District, City of McMinnville and Kids on the Block, Inc.
Registration form and calendar
Grades 6-8:
Middle school students have access to homework help after school from Monday through Thursday.
Duniway Middle School: Dragon Den/Dragon U includes study hall and enrichment clubs.
Patton Middle School: Mustang Academy offers homework help from 3-4:30 p.m.
Grades 9-12:
Grizzly Afterschool Program provides homework help and enrichment activities at McMinnville High School. Students must complete and application to enroll. An activity bus is available for transportation home.
