School Board

The primary role of the School Board is to establish policies that give the district direction to set priorities and achieve its goals. This is accomplished in partnership with the superintendent who implements policies and programs to meet the learning needs of all students. The School Board also hires and evaluates the superintendent and adopts and oversees the annual budget.

Board Meetings

The McMinnville School Board meets on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. for business meetings and on the fourth Monday at 6:30 p.m. for work sessions.

Meetings are held in the McMinnville School District office board room, 800 NE Lafayette Avenue, and are open to the public. Public comment is welcome at the 6:30 p.m. business meetings.

Each year, McMinnville High School ASB officers serve as student envoys to the board, reporting on happenings and activities at the high school at each board meeting during the school year. Each month during the school year, students from various schools present a sample of a learning activity or classroom experience to the board.
