Tickets are on sale now for the annual Swingin’ on a Star music boosters fundraiser on Saturday night.

Student art is featured on the posters. The entries were from the art
class of MHS art teacher Joe Parsons. Four winners were selected. Each
won a gift certificate to the Merri Artist.
The winners are:
- First place – Anthony Torres (Jazz Night Poster): $25 gift certificate
- Second place – Gary Roberts: $15 gift certificate
- Third place tie – Mikayah Risseeuw/Jacob Clark: $15 gift certificate
Music boosters volunteer Dolores Johnson said there were many
submissions. “They were so well done that we had a hard time making a
decision,” she said.
In addition to the gift certidicates, students also received a
participation certificate and an 11″ x 17″ copy of their submitted art
work.
