Patton Middle School proudly presents “Murder at the Pie Auction,” a murder mystery night written by Michael Druce.
The audience becomes part of the pie auction in this murder-mystery-comedy that’s chock full of baking puns! After years of trying unsuccessfully, the small town of Mynute, Alaska, finally lands the famous Mother Mabel’s Pie Baking Competition.
The contest looks to be a disaster with no media or publicity. To add to the tension, one of the contestants is writing a tell-all book about the seamy side of competitive pie baking. Making matters even worse, just hours before the competition begins, a pie judge goes missing.
Note: This show is not recommended for anyone younger than 11.
A silent pie auction will happen before the show, and a live bidding auction will take place during the production. Audience members will get to submit their guesses for who committed the crime, and those who guessed correctly will be entered into a drawing for a free pie! This show is a fundraiser to support the Patton Drama program.
The show stars Gabriel Sandoval, Magdalena Scheese, Lily Swart, Jeremiah Alfaro, Dominick Gonzalez, Ellie Miller, Ray Roberts, Emma Moorehead, Shelby Huffman, Elsa Davies and Emma Baasch. Eighth grader Dylan Dawson directed the production.
The show will be performed at Patton Middle School on Friday – Saturday, March 3 – 4 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 for General Admission and $3 for students and seniors. Doors open a half hour before the show starts. Admission tickets can be purchased at the door.
