Up and coming writers schools across the district have been named winners in the  25th annual Paper Gardens Celebration.

Chosen from either prose (fiction or nonfiction) or poetry (traditional, Haiku, free verse or place) 33 McMinnville School District student entries, and two teacher entries, won recognition in 14 different prose or poetry categories.

Winners, along with families, teachers and writing group friends, are invited to attend the book release celebration event on May 3 at the Chehalem Cultural Center in Newberg.

All authors will be recognized and introduced onstage, receive their own copy of the Paper Gardens 2018 book, and asked to read their winning piece.
