Congratulations, graduating seniors!

The Friday, June 8 forecast is calling for showers, and graduation will proceed rain or shine. Please expect that rain gear with hoods may be necessary for audience members. Umbrellas are not allowed in the stadium or on the field due to blocking visibility of other families seated behind.

Students will be provided rain ponchos if rain seems imminent.

On the outside chance of a thunderstorm, students will be moved to the gym and the ceremony will be paused for 30 minutes after the last sound of thunder. The ceremony will resume after that time.

This morning’s rehearsal covered these safety procedures with students.

The graduation ceremony is expected to be made available in a number of different ways.

MCM-TV plans to record the event and run it on Channel 11 on Saturday, June 9 at noon and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m. Viewers who don’t subscribe to cable can see it online on the channel’s website here.

Additionally, KLYC Radio plans to livestream the event, which will be shared on the district’s Facebook page here, beginning at 7 p.m., June 8.
