Lions Club Dinner and Auction to Benefit MHS Resource Room
You’re invited to the “Roaring Night of Giving” on Saturday, February 21 from 5 – 9 p.m. at the Evergreen Theater & Event Center. The event is a roaring 1920s themed dinner and dance with raffles and both silent and live auctions. Guests are encouraged to dress the theme in Gatsby dresses and tuxedoes.
Proceeds from the evening will be split between the Lions’ community programs and the McMinnville High School Resource Room. The Resource Room, stocked by community donations and run by volunteers, includes clothing, shoes, school supplies, hygiene products, shelf-stable food and household products. Any student may use the Resource Room at no cost, no questions asked. The Resource Room also provides meal boxes to more than 50 families over the holidays and hosts a formal wear “shopping” event for Mac High’s prom.
