Budget Message Feb Mcminnville School District Budget Message Feb Mcminnville School District

Letter from Superintendent Brockett

Dear McMinnville School District Community,

(Spanish) As we prepare for the 2025-26 school year, I want to share an important update on our district’s financial outlook. Like many school districts across the state, McMinnville School District faces a budget deficit due to rising costs and a challenging economic landscape.

While this news is unwelcome,  we are committed to transparency and collaborative work with our community to address these challenges. Over the next several weeks, we will begin developing plans to reduce expenditures while doing everything possible to preserve the high-quality education and support services our students and families rely on.

Your input will be vital to this process. We will seek feedback from staff, parents and community members to ensure we make thoughtful and informed decisions. Our goal is to approach these reductions to minimize the impact on student learning and staff well-being.

We will provide regular updates as the process unfolds, and we encourage you to stay engaged and share your thoughts. Together, I am confident we can navigate these challenges and continue serving our students and community.

Thank you for your understanding, partnership and continued support of the McMinnville School District.

Sincerely,

Debbie Brockett
Superintendent
