The public is invited to a community open house of newly updated facilities in the McMinnville School District. The event is scheduled for Saturday, September 23, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
At 12:30 p.m., refreshments will be served in the high school’s new cafeteria addition.
Facilities scheduled for drop-in tours include
- Cook Campus; 800 NE Lafayette Avenue, McMinnville
- McMinnville High School; 615 NE 15th Street, McMinnville includes the new Career Technical Center, field house and Baker Field
- Columbus Elementary; 1600 SW Fellows Street, McMinnville
- Duniway Middle School; 575 NW Michelbook Lane, McMinnville
- Grandhaven Elementary; 3200 NE McDonald Lane, McMinnville
- Newby Elementary; 1125 NW Second Street, McMinnville
- Patton Middle School; 1175 NE 19th Street, McMinnville
- Wascher Elementary; 986 East 7th Street, Lafayette
- District Facilities Building; 1150 NE Lafayette Ave., McMinnville
Cook Campus will feature a display of class photos from 1957 through the 2000s.
Also at Cook Campus, between 10 a.m. and noon, there will be a chance to share memories of Cook School for a Living History video project.
