Baker Technical Institute to Conduct Training
Beginning Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, there will be heavy construction activity on the MSD property on NW Hill Road near Cottonwood Drive.
Using the property as a “land lab,” the Baker Technical Institute is partnering with the Oregon Department of Corrections and Oregon Department of Transportation to offer a weeklong training class for women interested in heavy highway construction work. The class runs through Friday, Jan.12.
The Baker Technical Institute partners with the McMinnville School District to offer various training courses for students interested in working in the trades. Training opportunities for students are expected to return this spring.
