On Thursday evening, April 25, Dr. Maryalice Russell, superintendent of the McMinnville School District, was honored with the Women in Leadership award.  

Presented by Mayor Scott Hill, the award is a project of the Eagle Valley District of Cascade Pacific Council, BSA to celebrate the impact of Scouting in the local community. The award recognizes women who have made significant, long-lasting contributions in the local community with skills and values consistent with the Scout Law.

The awarded noted that “for more than two decades, Dr. Russell has led with kindness, bravery and trustworthiness, while championing STEM education, dual high school and college credit, early learning and other initiatives that have elevated the McMinnville School District to be among the highest performing in the state.”
