Newby students visit board to showcase JOY
The McMinnville School Board celebrated School Board Recognition Month with a formal proclamation recognizing their service, signed and read into the record at the January Business Meeting by Superintendent Debbie Brockett.
Board members include Chair Carson Benner, Vice Chair Dr. Paul Haddeland, Jason Bizon, Janis Braich, Gerardo Partida, Larry Vollmer and Abbie Warmbier. Click to read the proclamation.
In other board business, kindergarten students from Newby Elementary demonstrated JOY. Sponsored by the Yamhill Enrichment Society, the Junior Orchestra of Yamhill County (JOY) is a strings education program being piloted at Newby and Buel.
