The FRC was launched in January 2022 and includes the following services:

  • Counseling through Lutheran Community Services
  • Drug and alcohol counseling
  • Medical referrals (through the MSD School-Based Health Center)
  • Support for families with students who are experiencing homelessness
  • Migrant Program services
  • Food pantry
  • Clothing Closet
  • Laundry and shower services for students
  • Assistance for families with attendance issues

“We created the Family Resource Center to provide a central location for families to come for services that can help lower stress in the home,” said MSD Superintendent Debbie Brockett. “We want our students to be able to focus on their learning and helping families meet basic needs can allow them to do that.”

The Family Resource Center serves district families and is supported by local organizations, federal grants and community donations. To donate, volunteer or ask about resources, please call 503.565.4225.
