After years of steady increases, the McMinnville High School (MHS) overall graduation rate has exceeded 90 percent. This rate is 12 points higher than the state average and more than three points higher than last year. The results were announced yesterday by the Oregon Department of Education.
In every category, MHS exceeded state averages, including the rate for students with disabilities, which topped the state average by more than 17 points.
In addition to the overall rate, subgroups that exceeded a 90 percent graduation rate include CTE (Career Technical Education) participants and concentrators and Ever English Learners.
“We are pleased to celebrate the progress our students demonstrate as a result of their hard work as well as the important contributions our staff makes in creating successful learning environments for our kids,” said Dr. Maryalice Russell, superintendent of the McMinnville School District.
