McMinnville Schools have joined Safe Oregon, a free service to offer students a way to report school safety threats quickly and anonymously. Studies show that the number one reason students don’t report is the fear of retaliation from peers.
Tips can be submitted through a web form at www.SafeOregon.com or by a text or call to 844-472-3367, email or mobile app (Apple or Android).
Students will be made aware of the tip line at school and encouraged to use it if they feel unsafe or know someone else who feels unsafe. Examples what kind of incidents that should be reported include safety threats, violence, fights, drugs, alcohol, weapons, bullying and friends that talk about hurting themselves.
