Award received from two national organizations
McMinnville School District has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by both the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) for the annual comprehensive financial report for FY23.
The report was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report, according to the GFOA.
The award is the “gold standard in promoting and recognizing excellence in financial reporting,” according to ASBO and is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.
The district has won this award for 15 consecutive years.
