Davey Altree (left) has been named principal of Newby Elementary, replacing Dave Carlson who will retire at the end of this year. Altree previously taught fourth and fifth graders in the district, held a reading intervention position, was an instructional coach, and, most recently, held the position of new teacher mentor for the district. Altree will participate in a variety of transition activities at the school this spring. Steffanie Frost has been named director of Human Resources for the McMinnville School District, replacing Pattie Waltz who will retire from her position at the end of this year. Frost has worked in the area of Human Resources since 2007 in Yamhill Carlton School District and for Northwest Regional ESD since 2012. Frost is active in and holds a leadership position with the Oregon School Personnel Association. Waltz will assist Frost with her transition beginning this spring.
