The Arts Alliance of Yamhill County invites submissions to the 28th annual Paper Gardens competition. Paper Gardens is a creative writing program with categories in prose and poetry that accepts free entries from students in elementary through high school in Yamhill County.

This year’s competition will be judged by Dionisia Morales and John Sibley Williams.

The top three submissions in each category in each age group will be honored at a celebration on May 13 at the Chehalem Cultural Center in Newberg.  and the submissions will be printed in the Paper Gardens chapbook.

For nearly 30 years, the Paper Gardens chapbook has brought together the diverse voices of Yamhill County writers and poets into a single book. This unique publication features creative submissions from children, youth and adults who live, study or work in Yamhill County.
