Samantha Teahn chosen for band; Perla Mendoza for choir
Two Patton students have been chosen to participate in the Oregon Music Education Association (OMEA) State Conference this month. Samantha Teahn (left) will play the flute with the OMEA Middle School All-State Band, and Perla Mendoza will sing in the OMEA Middle School All-State Treble Choir.
The eighth-grade musicians auditioned for one of about 125 spots and were chosen from about 800 choir students and 1,000 band students from all over Oregon.
The musicians are students of Patton music teacher Joseph Demianew. Congratulations!
