In the spring of 2019, state leaders passed HB 3427 known as the Student Success Act, which will increase revenue for K-12 schools.
This winter, each Oregon school district will apply for funds from the Student Investment Account created by the Student Success Act.
Applications will be available for additional funding in four key areas:
1. Increased instructional time
2. Student health and safety
3. Class size reduction
4. Well-rounded learning opportunities
The McMinnville School District is seeking to gather input from stakeholders including school staff, students, parents, and community members that will represent our student body and their diverse needs. This feedback will be used to make data-driven and equity-based decisions.
One opportunity for the public to share priorities in these categories is by taking the online McMinnville Student Success Act Survey (Spanish) is one opportunity for you to share your priorities in these categories.
In addition to the online survey, the district will host a community listening session on October 22 at Duniway Middle School, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. Find out more here.
This event is intended for community stakeholders to share their ideas on how the district can maximize the resources with the Student Success Act.
