Recognition is part of McMinnville’s Distinguished Service Awards
Congratulations to kindergarten teacher Kindra Butler, who has been named this year’s Educator of the Year for McMinnville’s Distinguished Service Awards!
Butler teaches at Wascher and serves the district in many ways. She is the afterschool program coordinator, served as summer school coordinator for the past two years, joined the site council, serves on committees, and volunteers at Float into Summer and many other events and activities. She will also be the McEA rep for Wascher next year.
Butler attended MSD schools and has been a district employee since 2019.
The Distinguished Service Awards recognize McMinnville-area residents for their volunteerism and community involvement. Awardees will be celebrated at a banquet, scheduled for Wednesday, May 10, in The Bindery Event Space, 610 N.E. Fourth Street from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased through Event Brite.
