The McMinnville School District’s “Welcome to Kindergarten” program for parents returns with a new session this month.
The program is designed to provide kindergarten children and their families with information, resources and experiences that continue to build a foundation for learning and a smooth transition to school.
The new session focuses on building ongoing and dynamic family-school partnerships for student success.
“Nurturing Your Child’s Writing Skills” covers the everyday writing experiences in kindergarten and illustrates how parents can help enrich and enhance these and other literacy skills at home. The workshop offers parents a range of tools and techniques they can use to help their children continue to build writing skills with fun and easy activities to do at home and on the go.
