Yanira Vera was sworn in to serve as a director at-large of the McMinnville School Board on Monday, Oct. 26, 2020. She was named to the board to replace Dr. Tim Roberts, who retired last June.
Vera has been active with the Latino Advocacy Coalition/Yamhill County Hispanic Advisory Board, Hope on the Hill, Homeless Connect, Backpack Roundup and PTA. She is employed by the Yamhill County Housing Authority.
Vera has two children, both graduates of McMinnville High School.
