Student Services

Welcome to the McMinnville School District Student Services department! Student Services provides specialized programs or services to approximately 12 percent of the district’s student population.

The McMinnville School District complies with the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Oregon state law in the evaluation, placement and services to students who qualify as a student with a disability.

Services include special education, health services, guidance & counseling, Title X homeless program, speech/language services, and 504 rehabilitation plans. We also participate in Child Find and work with building administrators to address the needs of students with behavioral challenges.

Special education issues can be complex. The goal of Student Services is to collaborate with parents to best meet the needs of their students. Every special education student is assigned a case manager who is directly responsible for the development and implementation of the Individualized Education Program (IEP). Parents can contact their student’s case manager with questions and/or concerns.
