Duniway and Patton Middle Schoolers Perform Between the Lines, Jr.
McMinnville Middle School Drama (formerly Patton Drama) is thrilled to present its spring musical spectacular, Between the Lines, Jr. — a magical, heartfelt adventure filled with humor, friendship, and the power of believing in yourself. Based on the bestselling novel by and, this enchanting Broadway Junior production features a book by Picoult and Timothy Allen McDonald, with an uplifting score by Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson.
Between the Lines, Jr. follows Delilah, a teen struggling to find her place in a new town and school, who escapes into the pages of her favorite fairy tale. There she meets the charming Prince Oliver — and soon discovers that the line between fantasy and reality may not be as fixed as she imagined. Packed with heart, humor, and unforgettable music, this empowering musical celebrates courage, connection, and finding your own story.
Performances will take place at Patton Middle School on May 28, 29, and 30 at 7:00 p.m., with a matinee performance on May 31 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $8 for general admission and $5 for students and seniors. Reserved seating is also available for $10 adults and $8 students and seniors. The production is recommended for ages 7 and up, and doors open 30 minutes before showtime.
This production also marks an exciting new chapter for the program. Patton Drama is now welcoming students from Duniway Middle School, and the newly renamed McMinnville Middle School Drama reflects the combined talents and creativity of middle school performers across the district.
The production stars Lana Spenner (Patton) as Delilah and Gavin Newhouse (Duniway) as Prince Oliver. The talented cast also includes Mariah Logan, Lydia Markley, Adeline Stevens, Maya Strunk, Haze Potts, Elias Hill, Lyra Butterfield, Leo Miller, Haley Potts, Danika Blaylock, Ryder Brugger, Avery Eastin, Tallulah Smith, Coralyn Hendricks, Zin Redfield, River Frisbee, and Madeline Hakola.
