Buel, Patton and Wascher to undergo walking/biking audits
McMinnville School District (MSD) is working with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the City of McMinnville to help create a Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Plan. The plan will identify street improvements near Buel Elementary, Patton Middle School, and Wascher Elementary to support students and families in walking and rolling to school safely.
Families in the Buel, Patton or Wascher communities are invited to share their experiences traveling to school and their ideas for reducing barriers for students walking and biking. There are several ways to participate:
Share feedback using an interactive online map.
Tell us about your experiences getting to and from school using our interactive online map. This feedback will inform where we should prioritize safety improvements. By sharing your feedback, you’ll be entered to win a walking or rolling safety pack ($50 value).
Join us for a school walk audit on November 3-4, 2021
On Wednesday Nov. 3 and Thursday, Nov. 4, the project team will host walk audits at the schools to document the walking and biking conditions around the school area. These walk audits will be physically distanced, and masks will be required for all participants.
