Show runs Friday-Sunday, Nov. 17-19
Based on the classic novel written by Robert Louis Stevenson, the play “Treasure Island” by Dan Neidermyer features Jamie Hawkins and her widowed mother who run an old inn in western England.
One foggy morning, a pirate on the run ends up at the inn, befriending Jamie and pressing into the lass’ hand a tattered and torn piece of paper. Suddenly, a band of cutthroat pirates show up at the inn, feverishly searching for paper!
With the help of her town’s squire, Jamie realizes she’s been given a secret map to a buried treasure of gold and silver. An adventure ensues! A breathtaking tale told by two hilarious narrators who, at times, become part of the play’s fast-moving action!
The show will be performed at Patton Middle School on November 17 and 18 at 7 p.m. and November 19 at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $5 for General Admission and $3 for students and seniors. Reserved seats: $7 for General Admission and $5 for students and seniors. Doors open a half hour before the show starts. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.
