MSD Nurses on Oral Health
Oral health is important both physically and mentally. Oral health affects the ability to eat, speak and show emotions and also affects self esteem and school attendance. Cavities and other oral diseases can cause pain, tooth decay, tooth loss or worse. The benefits of taking good care of your teeth are invaluable.
McMinnville School District partners with the Oregon Health Authority to offer free dental screenings and sealants to young students in our elementary schools through an opt-in program. Sealant programs like this can reduce cavities by 50 percent.
