Career Pathways

Program Details

McMinnville High School’s Career Pathway programs are intended to help students become college and career ready. With more than 15 different pathways, MHS is a leader in the state in offering coursework designed to put students on track to fill high-demand, high-wage jobs after completing their postsecondary education.

The pathways offer relevant, hands-on experiences for students that include internships, mentorships and coursework directly linked to post-secondary career options. The courses are also available as dual (high school and community college) credit, so students can start earning a career/technical certification, a two-year degree, or transferable credits to a four-year school.

Students are introduced to the pathway program as part of their Freshman Seminar class. Students must earn three credits in pathway coursework as a graduation requirement, and they have the opportunity to earn a pathway endorsement by completing 2.5 credits within one pathway. Students who earn a pathway endorsement are also eligible for a $500 scholarship their senior year.

Pathway programs include Business Finance, Business Marketing, Computer Science, Construction, Criminal Justice, Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Education, Engineering and Aerospace Sciences (EASA), Fabrication and Welding, Fire & Emergency Services, Health Services, Natural Resources Management, Performing Arts – Music and Theater, Visual Arts, and Visual Communications.
