Brielle Houston Fills Vacancy Left By Abbie Warmbier’s Resignation
On June 15, 2026, the McMinnville School District Board of Directors voted to appoint Brielle Houston to the Board, filling the vacancy left by Director Abbie Warmbier’s resignation due to moving out of district.
Director Houston was one of four finalists the Board considered to fill the vacancy.
Ms. Houston has lived in the district for 18 years. She has served on the Library Foundation Board as President, the Board of Peace Valley School, and has volunteered at McMinnville High School for the Soroptimists’ “Dream It, Be It” program. She is an enthusiastic supporter of public schools, believing public education lays the foundation for a more equitable, safe, and prosperous community and nation.
“I am proud of many of the things that our schools have accomplished, and I’m grateful for the opportunities and the safe space that it provides to young people from all walks of life in our community,” said Director Houston.
Her appointment runs through June 30, 2027, although she is eligible to run for election to the position in May of 2027.
