The McMinnville School District is beginning the formal search process for a new superintendent.
In January 2020, Dr. Maryalice Russell announced her impending retirement. She joined the district in 2002.
“Dr. Russell has made an incredible contribution to this district and community,” said Larry Vollmer, chair of the McMinnville School Board. “Her leadership and vision are impeccable, and her outstanding improvements have led us to become one of the premier districts in the state of Oregon. We believe we are well positioned to attract another top-notch superintendent.”
A community-wide survey ran through Jan. 14, 2021, and select focus groups will add input to create an “ideal profile” of the new superintendent. This profile will be used in recruitment and selection process, which is being managed by Human Capital Enterprises.
