McMinnville School District encourages students who bike or scooter to school to do so safely and follow Oregon law.
E-bikes and e-scooters are not permitted on elementary or middle school campuses. Students may not ride or bring an e-bike or e-scooter onto campus.
If a student brings an e-bike or e-scooter to school, a parent or guardian will be contacted and required to pick it up. Students will not be permitted to ride the e-bike or e-scooter home from school.
Students may bring e-bikes and e-scooters to high school as permitted by Oregon law, which requires riders to be at least 16-years-old and to wear a helmet. Students are expected to follow all state and local safety requirements and school rules while on campus.
Oregon law includes age, helmet, equipment, and operating requirements for e-bikes and e-scooters. Families are responsible for making sure students understand and follow applicable laws before riding.
